What to Expect?
After Breakfast at your Hotel/Riad in Fez, our professional driver will pick you up in an air-conditioned vehicle to have an unforgettable tour in the old Medina.
So we will start our tour from Bab Boujloud, the garnished blue gate leading to the old medina in Fes El Bali, and the way of the glorious Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. Then, we’ll guide you to the University of Al- Qarawiyyin which is founded by Fatima Al- Fihri; the biggest and first University in Africa. We’re also going to visit the greatest Madrasas: starting by Bouanania Madrasa; which is built by Sultan Abu Inan Faris. Then, we’ll visit Al- Attarine Madrasa; which was established by Sultan Othman II Abu Said. Not forgetting to visit the Nejjarine Museum, that was made with wooden arts and crafts and enjoy seeing the traditional tools used by craftsmen. Also the Berber carpets of Morocco and the traditional Moroccan musical instruments.
We will visit the largest tannery in Africa, and Mellah or Jewish Quarter and the old Ibn Danan Synagogue which is built by Mimoun Ben Sidan. After exploring the ancient medina, we will guide you outside the walls, and head directly to the main gate of the Royal Palace where we’ll see craftsmen working, and we will appreciate the view of the large plaza and its palm trees. At the end of your tour, your professional driver will drive you back to Casablanca (the biggest city in Morocco). With that our Fez tout sightseeing ends.
